Become a Mentor

A caring, consistent adult can help another person build confidence, recognize strengths, and imagine new possibilities. Mentoring opportunities will be offered only through structured programs with clear expectations and appropriate supervision.

Who We Seek

Potential mentors should be dependable, patient, respectful, encouraging, open to training, and committed to healthy boundaries.

Screening and Training

Depending on the population served, mentors may be required to complete an application, interview, references, background check, orientation, mandated-reporting training, and ongoing supervision.

What Mentors Do

Mentors listen, encourage, model healthy decision-making, support goals, and participate in approved activities. Mentors do not act as therapists, case managers, financial sponsors, or substitute parents.
