We want to make sure everyone can be provided with quality mental health services. While many individuals use insurance, there are several who can’t afford their copay or their deductible hasn’t been meet yet. Others do not have insurance, or their insurance isn’t taken at many places. We are left with a significant amount of people who aren’t able to get the help they need.
We want to be able to help those who may not be able to afford mental health services. For example, someone with BCBS may have to reach a certain deductible, before insurance will start to pay. This means they may be responsible for paying the full billable amount for the session, let’s say $80. Having to pay $80 a week to receive services may not be attainable for some, so your donations would go towards helping that individual or family pay for services.
Additionally, clinicians are not able to see all of their clients pro bono or at a sliding scale rate, they have to make a living as well. We partner with clinicians who are willing to slightly reduce their fees and your donations go towards paying for those sessions. Most individuals need around 12 individual sessions for treatment, if services are reduced from $125-$150 to $60-$90, then a donation of $1000 could go towards paying for an individuals full service. Any amount helps and makes a difference.
